I have been two weeks (well actually 17 days at the time of writing) as monk now.

So far the reinc has been somewhat uneventful as I have been doing all the same stuff as in my previous reincs. I have now Wave crest strike maxed out (110%) and Geyser force kick at 98%. Totals are now about 171M, which is the same as I had before the beastmaster experiment and reinc to merchant+alchemist.

In addition, I have done all the monk guild quests up to one before the apple tree. When I tried the apple tree quest in my earlier monk reinc, I failed miserably as the bear was way too strong for me to solo. If I want to pass the quest, I will most likely need to some preparations.

On the other hand, I have noticed that I many times solo without Ki active, as the spmax penalty is quite big. So, doing the rest of the monk quests might not bring enough bonuses to be actually useful for my play style.

Tree herding (Tree navigator)

As I took 2 tree navigator levels, I have been planting the navigator trees here and there. Currently, I have 2 trees in Desolathya, 5 trees in Lucentium, 2 trees in Rothikgen, and 5 trees in Laenor.

As the best tree spots have been mostly taken, I haven’t been able to place my trees in the most optimal places, but in the most cases the places have been good enough for my own usage.

Player city improvements

The harbor in my player city was in not so good place, so for one week I concentrated on making some money and managed to collect enough for a new harbor, which is actually next to sea. This allows me to sail with my sloop to my pcity.

Miscellaneous things

During this reinc, I have also

• found 7 beads (and given them to cane)
• died 14 times, although for 3 of those I got avoid death triggered
• gained 475 favor from Cryllara/Efiilas tasks
• found and read two ancient books of knowledge (+stargazing, +tumbling attack)

Top solo kills

Catfolk monk seems to be somewhat better at killing bigger monsters than human monk. As long as the monster doesn’t resist physical, I can currently kill 40k..70k monsters relatively safely, although it takes some time to wear them out with monk combo skills (wave crest strike, tsunami push).
